Olamide Sets Album Date With Burukutu Video
Olamide is back in party mode, and this time he is not just dropping a song, he is setting a date for his next album.
The YBNL boss released his new single "Burukutu" on October 20, 2026, with a colourful video directed by TG Omori. The same day, he surprised fans by announcing his 13th studio album, Time & Space, which is scheduled to arrive on November 16, 2026.
Burukutu is named after the traditional fermented grain drink that is popular in many parts of Nigeria, especially in the North and Middle Belt. Olamide uses that name to capture the feeling of the song - street celebration, enjoyment, and forgetting your worries for a night.
The song, produced by Blaisebeatz, opens with a loud party chant, "Baddo we wanna partyyyy!" From there, Olamide switches into his trademark Yoruba flow, talking about hustle, street life, and enjoying the reward of hard work. It is a five-minute record that feels like a street party from start to finish.
The video matches that energy. TG Omori creates two different worlds. In one scene, Olamide appears in a glowing red corridor, wearing a double-breasted suit, dark sunglasses, and his signature dreadlocks. In the other scene, he moves to an open, earth-toned courtyard filled with dancers in white outfits, pillbox hats, and pearl details. There is also a moment where Olamide steps forward to play the saxophone alongside brass musicians.
For fans, Burukutu is more than just a single. It is the official start of the Time & Space campaign. The new album will follow his self-titled project Olamide, which was released in 2025.
With Burukutu already trending and November 16 now marked on the calendar, Olamide has given fans a reason to party and a date to wait for. If this single is a sign of what is coming, Time & Space is set to be another big moment for Baddo.
