Brief Background
There are conflicting stories. Makhadzi’s team said she was never contracted to perform at the Gilbert Promotions show and therefore did not get paid. The promoters side denied the kidnapping allegations and said it was a contractual disagreement. The Citizen also stated they could not find any documents to back up her initial claims. There is no independent verification for either side.
