Kenya Police chase back-to-back league wins

Kenya Police FC are hoping to turn their recent victory into the start of a strong run as they prepare to face Shabana FC in their next Kenyan Premier League fixture this weekend.

The law enforcers finally had something to celebrate after beating Ulinzi Stars 1-0 at Police Sacco Stadium on Thursday, October 29. It was their first win of the 2026/27 season and a much-needed boost for a team that had struggled to get going in the opening matches.

Striker Elvis Rupia made the difference, scoring the only goal of the game in the first half. His finish secured all three points and gave the players and supporters fresh hope for the matches ahead.

##Why the First Win Matters

The victory means more than just three points for Kenya Police. After starting the campaign with a draw against Migori Youth and a defeat to AFC Leopards, the team needed a positive result to rebuild its confidence.

Caretaker coach Anthony Akhulia will be pleased with the response from his players, especially after the pressure that came with their slow start to the season.

However, one win is not enough. The challenge now is to maintain that fighting spirit and show that the team can produce consistent performances.

For the supporters, the victory is a welcome sign that things could be turning around.

##What to Expect Against Shabana

Kenya Police will face another test when they take on Shabana FC. After getting their first victory, the team will be eager to build on that performance and collect another three points.

But Shabana are unlikely to make things easy. They come into the match following a 1-1 draw against Migori Youth and will also be looking to get back to winning ways.

Kenya Police will hope Elvis Rupia can continue his impressive contribution in front of goal. At the same time, the defence will need to remain organised and avoid giving Shabana opportunities.

It promises to be a competitive encounter, with both teams having plenty to play for.

##Why Fans Are Watching This Fixture

There is growing interest in this match because Kenya Police have a chance to record back-to-back league victories for the first time this season.

Fans will be keen to see whether the team can maintain the improvement shown against Ulinzi Stars. Another win would give the players even more confidence and help them build momentum as the league campaign continues.

The match also gives Shabana an opportunity to show their quality against a side that is beginning to find its feet.

For Kenyan football supporters, this is more than just another weekend fixture. It is a chance to see whether Kenya Police can finally put their difficult start behind them.

With confidence slowly returning to the camp, all eyes will be on the law enforcers as they chase another important victory.
