Fireboy DML Locks In October 16 For New Album 'ZUKO!'

Fireboy DML Is Back With ZUKO!

Afrobeats star Fireboy DML has officially set Friday, October 16, 2026 for his fifth studio album, ZUKO! f21b

The YBNL Nation singer confirmed the date with a cinematic teaser — tailored red suit, bandages wrapped around his head — hinting at a bolder, more dramatic era. He hasn't explained the title yet, which has only added to the buzz.

The 13-track project will arrive via YBNL Nation and EMPIRE. f21b

Why Fans Are Excited Right Now

The announcement landed and timelines lit up instantly. A few reasons why:

The visuals are talking: That red-suit teaser has everyone theorizing about resilience, transformation and rebirth.
The name flip: Fireboy said ZUKO actually started as Twitter banter/slander aimed at him, and he decided to own it and turn it into his next era.
October is stacked: ZUKO! is dropping in a huge month for Afrobeats with other albums expected, so fans are calling October a music-filled month.

Fireboy's Run Before This Drop

ZUKO! follows his 2024 album Adedamola, and continues a catalogue that includes Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps (2019), Apollo (2020) and Playboy (2022). f21b

To set the stage, he's been rolling out singles that show range:

Imali with Jazzwrld and Thukuthela — sliding into South African 3-step Afro House rhythms
Dopamine and Story — earlier releases that kept him in rotation ahead of the album
CLAAT! featuring Jamaican dancehall artiste Masicka — another global link-up for the rollout f21be601

Light, melodic, but experimenting more with the continent's sounds — that's the Fireboy fans are waiting for on October 16.
