BNXN's "Still in charge" EP has Fans Talking

What the EP is called

The project is titled Still In Charge. It is a six-track release through EMPIRE, running for about 16 minutes, with two guests: Asake and FOLA. It opens with "Eja Meja" featuring Asake, while FOLA appears on "Shamaya". "Online" is BNXN's solo statement and was the final single released before the EP.

The title continues the idea behind his 2025 album CAPTAIN, which focused on growth and more control over his sound. It also follows his collaborative project with Sarz, The Game Needs Us, making 2026 a busy year for the singer.

Why fans are talking

• The Asake link-up: "Eja Meja" pairs BNXN's silky vocals with Asake's vibrant delivery and has generated buzz around the project.
• The timing: The EP landed around Nigeria's Independence Day, which some fans have viewed as a deliberate flex, although BNXN has not confirmed this.
• The singles: Fans have praised "Online" for its addictive rhythm and memorable chorus. -For many Afrobeats listeners, a new BNXN project is enough to generate excitement, especially because of his distinctive vocal style and ability to create songs that work both casually and on repeat.

Early chart and fan reaction

The numbers are encouraging. "Eja Meja" debuted at No. 1 on Apple Music Nigeria and passed 32 million streams. Still In Charge has also appeared on the Apple Music Nigeria albums chart, giving fans another reason to watch how the project performs.

Why it matters now

Still In Charge shows BNXN staying consistent after a strong run. With big collaborations, steady singles and early chart success, the EP strengthens his position as one of Afrobeats' distinctive vocal talents and gives fans plenty to replay this weekend.
